| Job Description: |
Within this pivotal role, you will develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to continuously improve the value of purchased materials and services. Success will be measured by sourcing expertise, timely delivery of products and services, cost improvement and a high level of customer service. It will be your responsibility to manage the Supplier Assessment Programme for the purpose of identification, appraisal and competence of suppliers for both engineering and raw materials.
Using your excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, you will develop relationships with key stakeholders in order to promote the procurement strategy. With the ability to lead and motivate a team across 2 sites (Ince and Billingham), you will develop team members to achieve business goals.

| Skills and Qualifications |
| They are looking for a self motivated and results driven purchasing professional to take ownership of the Purchasing function and play a key role in driving change within the team. With sound commercial knowledge and experience of plant operations in a manufacturing business, you will hold or be working towards a professional purchasing qualification (i.e. CIPS). Sound knowledge of UK contract law is essential coupled with strong IT skills and ideally Oracle experience.
This role will require UK and occasional overseas travel and you will be expected to be part of the ‘Out of hours’ duty team.
