Our client is a manufacturing company developing and manufacturing fertilisers for the modern farming industry. They are looking for a self motivated, highly organised and results driven Purchase Ledger professional to manage a period of cultural change and introduction of best practices in the Purchase Ledger function within the Accounts department. Within this pivotal role, you will support the day to day activities of the small Purchase Ledger team, establishing daily and monthly working schedules and setting measurable KPIs.

| Job Description: |
They are looking for a highly professional individual with significant experience of purchase ledger supervision in a large company environment using, typically, Oracle or SAP. Qualified to AAT level or equivalent, you will be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of purchase ledger processes with a strong commitment to meeting customer expectations.
With demonstrable evidence of having directly influenced and/or implemented change, you will be flexible and adaptable in your approach. This role requires excellent influencing skills with solid computer and administrative skills.

| Skills and Qualifications |
| Using your proven coaching and leadership skills, you will develop and mentor a team of 3 Purchase Ledger Clerks. With a focus on performance and ensuring that individuals and the team reach their full potential, you will strive to minimise risks and ensure optimum efficiency. At the same time, you will be expected to adopt a ‘hands on’ approach and take transactional responsibility for a proportion of the daily workflow, including invoice processing, matching and payment.
Having been exposed to a continuous improvement programme, you will make recommendations and implement solutions, preparing and executing a plan to raise motivation and to move the Payables team to the next stages of reaching excellence. It will also be your responsibility to identify areas for improvement in Oracle utilisation and arrange adequate training for the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to successfully re-shape the Purchase Ledger team and will therefore require a strong understanding of buying systems disciplines and processes that are needed to run a modern Purchase Ledger department.
