Job Description:
In a drive to achieve World Class Status within their Operations, an opportunity now exists for you to become an integral member of their team, at one of their Manufacturing Operations based at St Helens in Merseyside.

This role is a dayshift position reporting to the Operations Manager and provides the overall management, direction and co-ordination of all engineering and technical requirements supporting our manufacturing activities. As part of continuous improvement, you will be expected to identify and introduce new equipment and technology to reduce manufacturing costs. Within this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the management of site facilities, services and maintenance spares inventory. Auditing and reporting on the effectiveness of Manufacturing Cell Asset Care will also be part of your remit.

 
Skills and Qualifications
They are looking for a highly organised and self motivated individual with the drive and interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others. Experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment is essential. Educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering, you will have extensive technical knowledge across a spectrum of engineering skills. This will include Design, relevant Health & Safety/Quality Legislation, Maintenance best practice and Project Management. Proven abilities in project selection and implementation using Lean methodologies, as well as presentation and training skills are paramount. The role covers a broad spectrum and requires an individual who can manage effectively, is capable of strategic thinking and has hands on leadership skills, to resolve critical manufacturing problems instantaneously. Six Sigma Black Belt and a working knowledge of the DMAIC approach is required. You will be given training in their processes and products and the World Class Techniques that will help improve their business.
